I'll pass on the Nikes. I did find a bunch of YouTube videos on one-handed shoelace tying techniques and adapted one technique that works for me.

They final Sierra snow pack report is that we have 5% of normal - the lowest ever recorded.

The good news is that some spring rain will be coming our way in a couple of days. Every little bit helps.

Fortunately my situation is temporary. I'm getting pretty good with most of the one handed stuff, but I'm not there yet with shoelace tying on my hiking boots.

My footwear of choice these days is a pair of military boots with a side zipper. They're comfortable and they are easy to put on. My problem with tying shoes is that I have trouble bending over because my fat belly gets in the way.

The past few years, Velcro has shown up more and more as the fastener for women's shoes, at least. It's so easy to use.

Barefoot!

I love my work boots, but I'm not one of those people who wear them everywhere. Down from there I wear running shoes or hikers. Then Toms slip-ons, crocs, and flip flops.

I am very particular when it comes to my feet. Not just any sock will do, not just any shoe will do. Asics only for running shoes. They fit perfectly, have the support I need, and don't make my feet sweat. Merrell and Sketchers are usually pretty good as well. I have a pair of insulated winter shoes by Merrell and they're great for when you need something warmer than running shoes, but don't want to wear boots. Hikers are Merrell as well.
I never thought that I would like Toms, until I tried them on. The men's size 8 is exactly the perfect size and shape for my feet. No room for socks though, so I have to wash them or they get nasty stinky.
Crocs, as ugly as they are, have great uses.

That's what I should do. The last track day down at Sonoma Raceway (formerly Infineon & Sears Point) I wore down the toe of one of my riding boots when I accidentally tuoch it to the pavement while leaned over in turn 6.

I alternate between my Burkies and my Merrells. Both just have straps over the top of the foot. I dislike the flip flops that have something going down to the sole next to the big toe.

I like my Merrell Moab Ventilators, and Vionic/Orthaheel sandals I bought at the Berkinstock store. At work I wear military-style boots with side zippers. I haven't worn flip flops since I was a little kid; can't stand 'em.

I am cautious when it comes to my feet. I tried a pair of these for a while, and they offer no support, and just don't fit good. Too many other good solutions to have to wear these.

I am a huge Keen fan, they just fit me like a glove. I love the larger to box so I have lots of wiggle room, but yet they hold my hell and across the top of my foot just great. I have 4 pair, one leather casual wear shoe, one lightweight hiker, one water shoe, and one pair of biking shoes with cleats.

I am also a big Birkenstock fan. I just love the foot support they give. It is like they made them purposely to fit my feet. :)

There are a few other pairs of footwear I have, but they all see little wear.

I am with you on this, not only are they terrible uncomfortable, they seem very unsafe to me. I have a pair I bought for use when trailering, and wearing into the campground showers. I abandoned them, and now just use my Birks, which dry out real quick anyway.

The crocs have decent enough support for me. The problem I have is the plastic button things rub on the inside of my foot and I get blisters. No long distance walking can be done in them.

I've never tried Keens.

I'll have to look for them next time I'm shopping for shoes, or see a sale.
