ummm... so anyone heard any good jokes lately?


I can hear crickets chirping when I open this thread.

I'm around, there's just no one to talk to.

I'm not working today, am supposed to be studying for my licensing exam that I write tomorrow morning. The concentration level is pretty pathetic though. Right now it's a gorgeous day outside, but we're under a severe thunderstorm and tornado watch. I have laundry on the clothesline so I have to keep a sharp eye on the sky.

I'm here as well, just very busy.

Having an aging parent with issues, sucks. I may have to step in, without his permission, and legally take over his finances. It won't go down well.

We had a whole bunch just miles away. One tornado passed within 12 miles of us and blew a train off the tracks. Lots and lots of rain though. Our lake was 11 feet below level at the end of February and 5 feet over flood yesterday.

We recently did that with my mom in law. She is in a sr home and loving it. Was very resistive at first but it was the best thing ever for her. She has friends, activities, things to do and she is always busy. Even she admits that it was a good thing.

He will be physically resistant to any such move, and would probably walk out unless it's one where they're actually locked in. I'll be contacting a lawyer soon, or maybe the State's Elder Protective Services. For now, I just want to keep him from blowing whatever financial assets are left; he's addicted to the casinos and is hemorrhaging money at this point. Sometimes 1K a day.

That close, eh? Wow! I saw the news video of the train off the tracks. Crazy weather.

I have family in OK City, and Moore. My nephew in Moore had some property damage from this last batch, and has had some previously.

Can you get the casinos to blacklist him?

What is it with old people and Casinos. My mother in law is the same way. Luckily, she sticks to the nickle slots but slot machines are like crack for her. Never looses more than a few bucks a day.
