My newest pet peeve: misuse of the word "hack."

Yahoo editors/writers (and others) seem to use it for everything.

"Ultimate cast iron pizza hack."

I'm seriously going to get a machete and show one these folks what hacking's all about. Or all aboot, for the Canadian "hack" abusers.

Or maybe I'll hack into their editorial accounts and change every verb in their articles to "hack."

It seems like moderation of anything is taboo these days. Everyone is going to the extremes with everything from diets to vocabulary to rights movements. No one seems to know how to make small adjustments anymore.

Around here, the latest movement getting attention is high school girls wanting the dress codes to be abolished. They want to be able to wear booty shorts and a bra to school.

Hot pants and tube tops came into vogue when I was in high school in California (early '70's).

I liked it a lot.

I'm sure Moose (or me) have no idea what booty shorts are, can you please post pics to demonstrate what you mean? 8-)

Melody, if you send Ian a pair of booty shorts, he'll model them for a selfie.

Yup, it seems like the boys are playing dumb again.

If they don't know what booty shorts are, maybe they'll know what Daisy Dukes are.
