That's pretty cool, if it shoots hard enough.
When I was a kid I'd put sand in the pouch of a wrist-rocket slingshot. Even with that you had to get pretty close.

I'm thinking electrified tennis racquet that's been soaked in gasoline and set on fire.

And swung forehand by the Hulk.

Sounds good.

It works well on 'skeeters but the pattern spreads quite quickly. Within 5 feet is 100%. At 10 it's maybe 50/50%.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

I think we're in for some fun weather. This storm system has arrived about 4 hours earlier than predicted.

Is that the remnants of tropical storm Bill? We had that go through last week and it dumped over 3" of rain on our already flooded heads.

I don't know. It came in from Illinois.
So far we haven't had the crazy winds and hail, but our power went "out" right away. And by out, I mean we have 56 volts at the breakers. The LED lights were trying to come on. Opened the breakers so we don't have a bunch of stuff burn out. We've had lots of rain lately so we'll have to keep an eye on the sump well.

No, remnants of bill came over the east coast yesterday, so it was a soaking for the NE.

You have those severe thunderstorms / dericho that will be hitting us tomorrow/wed.

Awful quiet in here lately. Maybe the place has a bad smell and I can't notice. :(

Then it's probably you. They say you never notice your own "smells." ;-)a

I'm thinking it was Mel talking about her winds.

BTW, anyone noticing that for this thread you keep going back to page one or is it just me?

I've been around, but didn't have much to say.

We survived the storms. Got two inches of rain with the second round that came through, so the area is rather saturated and it's crazy humid.

This week is baseball week for me. Last Thursdays games were postponed because the diamond was flooded, so we played on Monday night instead. Then Tuesday night was a regular night, Thursday will be as well. And then on Saturday I'm playing in a tournament. The team that ends up in 9th place will have played 3 games, the teams that end up 1st and 2nd will have played 5 games. So that will be quite the tiring day! So far I only know the captain and one other guy on the team, I'll probably not even know who's on the team until Saturday. Hopefully Andrew has put together a good team! It's a 3-pitch tourney, which I haven't played in years. It's quite similar to 2-pitch but some of the rules are different, like sliding is allowed.

My commute has become a nightmare. Two of the three best routes to work are flooded and closed and one is a 6 lane thoroughfare. With the lake to the west blocking heading further west that leaves east and the small single lane roads just can't handle the volume of traffic. I've gone from 20~25 minutes to over an hour. :(
