Our sumps would run very often. We had two, the one in the main basement was less storm sensitive but would have to cycle about once an hour. The one in the crawl was totally dependant on rainfall. Lots of rain, lots of cycles.

Hey Chet, sorry 'bout the headache.

We have one. It'll run fairly often if it's raining and the ground isn't dry. The landscaping drops a few feet of elevation from the house to the rest of the property so water runs away decently. The sump well also has lots of head space. The last 8-10" before floor level can take several hours to fill up. At that point the whole underside of the basement floor has to fill with water before the level gets above the floor level.

100F+ temps, no rain/drought season, and lightning is very bad. This is less than a mile from my house. There are also 2 other very large fires in the area, all due to lightning.

I was at Caesars Palace last night for dinner, and strolled through the Peter Lik gallery afterwards. A lot of folks on this forum seem to have issues with him for some reason... maybe jealousy, I don't know. The guy's work is gorgeous. The paper and coatings it's printed with, under proper light, make it truly awesome. When you slowly turn down the light, the image doesn't look so much like it's just darker, as much as it looks like the sun is setting in the picture; it still has a warm glow to it.

Dinner at Sushi Roku was freaking awesome, BTW. :-D

The sushi we had contained cooked soft shell crab. And the Chilean sea bass was cooked (to perfection), so no raw fish. But I'm not opposed to it generally in sushi. This tea and strumpets man has a varied palate.

I'm one of the people that have issues with him. I have no issues whatsoever about his imagery and love his work, but I have issues with the bull#$%^ he put's behind it. I'm firmly in the camp that anything done to a photo is fair game. Edits, composites, taking away or removing elements, and adjustments or manipulation of any kind is fair game to me. However, don't lie about it. Coming off and telling me you waited on the rocks for months just for the perfect moment and literately had an orgasm as you pressed the shutter button to capture a million dollar wall hanger with just one shot is just plain lying when the image is clearly a manipulated composite of various photos. So great image, but cut the BS Pete. Let the image stand on it's own, or, if your gonna lie about it, at least put the clouds in front of the moon and not behind it. Last time I checked, the moon is pretty far away and clouds are not.
