Fairly unusual for us this time of year. We had a fire a little higher up the mountain to the east of us too. CalFire and the local firefighters really jumped on it quickly, air bombers and all. So they were able to contain it to 20 acres.

How do you keep your equipment dry on a kayak? We have been wanting to get either a canoe or a kayak but the canoe looks more practical from being able to lug things around. The kayaks I have seen have almost no ability to hold anything. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
