Thanks. Yes, some peace of mind, knowing that I won't get a call in the middle of the night saying he's been in an accident, or worse... killed a family. And he'll have medical staff around 24/7 to take care of him. Good luck to them, trying to get him to shower, brush his teeth, or change his clothes.

They have the benefit of experience with other residents who have similar conditions. There must be some tricks of the trade.

I misplace it sometimes, but can usually find it in a nearby gutter.

Ok, I can't help myself - I have to share a pic of this fire.

I've been using every spare minute to photograph this fire, as well as man's efforts to fight it. It's going on 7 days now, and it is exhausting! The biggest problem with photographing a natural disaster is the fact that so many, areas and so many roads are closed to all public access. It's extremely hard to find a road that is not closed that enables one to get close enough to the fire for some good images.

Wooowww the helicopter look so tiny , your picture give a good idea/sense of the disaster!
At the scale comparison, it loo like they want to stop a house in fire with a glass of water

It was a cool, foggy, moonlit night. The crickets were singing in harmony with the frogs, while in the distance a train rumbled, waiting for the coyote to answer it's call.

Last night, we actually had lightning and thunder in the distance, and we've had a bit of rain here, but we still have the fires!

Opening line of the new book you're writing?

I'm waiting for what comes next. Murder mystery I suspect from the sounds of it but it might be a chilling supernatural thriller.

I was just describing my drive home last night. It's so dead in here I figured it was a good way to add some drama.

No way would I ever write a book, but I am pretty good at writing the opening sentences or paragraph.

The man from Wisconsin dressed as a clown was walking down the middle of the road with blood dripping from special set of juggling balls, a content smile painted on his face hiding the turmoil hidden deep within.
