I've used magic lantern in the past on my 50D but at the time I never used any manual focus lens on the 50D. I am considering using it on my 5D3 for the focus peak feature with my manual lenses. Anyone here experience with magic lantern and focus peak on the 5D3?

I just threw away about 50 lbs of photog mags. I used to have subscriptions to a few, and was keeping them around for "reference." But I never went back to them after the first read so they were just taking up shelf space. Anything I need to know I can find on-line, and I've learned far more on this forum than I ever learned from these silly magazines.

Dose anyone here still buy them?

Years ago, I found the mainstream photo magazines (Popular Photography and Photographic) began to get repetitious. After a while, I was seeing the same techniques over and over. I hung onto Outdoor Photographer for many years but finally gave it up for the same reason (and the cost.) Now the only periodicals I receive are one that come with membership in associations or museums that have other benefits.

It was 19C yesterday. Beautiful weather for working outside by the lake.

Tonight we have snow squall warnings. Up to 15 cm of snowfall expected with freezing temperatures and whiteout conditions.

Welcome to Canada! :D

You're in the Steel Town right? I'm down at the bottom of Lake Huron.

Tourist season is over and we finally have our town back (for locals) so at least there is the occasional autumnal shot to be had

Steel Town = Hamilton. For the steel companies like Stelco. For some reason I thought that's where you're from.

Stratford is a much better place!

We had a heavy frost this morning, earliest that I can recall. The sun quickly made it disappear.

Wow - hat's beautiful!
Eastern Oregon? I wouldn't have expected so much large deciduous vegetation there. My experiences in eastern OR have led me only to dry climes such as I have here at home in eastern WA.......sagebrush and conifers.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

It's only supposed to be in the mid to high 70's for the next several days. A week ago it was still in the 90's.
