No snow for me. It's still warm here, mid-80s. and very dry. Great for working outside.

We've just had the heaviest rainstorm on my side of the valley that I've seen all year. Loved it. Sat out on a beach chair under an umbrella just enjoying the sound and smell, but then it really started coming down and I had to squeegee water off of my patio and move buckets of water out to plants and trees that needed it. In my PJ's :-D
Boy did I get a soakin'.

Send the rain this way. The last rain we had was in May. We went from flooded to drought.

True dat.. I still went swimming after working outside all afternoon. Water is getting mighty cold but it's not too bad after the initial shock. Pool is sitting at about 74 degrees right now.

Same temp as our pool. I've been swimming just about every day for the past week. I much prefer it to swimming when it's 110 out and the water's 85.

Our water hit a high of 94 this summer. It was fantastic. you could float all night and not get chilled.

Just had a months worth of rain in 3 hours of thunder and lightning yesterday, quite spectacular. I guess summer is officially over. The lakes and reservoirs needed it.

Lake Mead is our water source for Las Vegas. It's 150 ft low now. I heard several years ago that it would take 10 years of 150% normal snowfall in the Rockies to refill it (via the Clolorado River). I don't see that happening. :-(

Rain like we had yesterday is just a drop in the bucket. But we'll Take it.

Take any lightning pictures or thunderstorm pictures? They can be quite spectacular especially desert storms.

Extreme eastern Oregon.......as in, North Carolina. LOL

I doin't understand! I thought that when you posted that the other day, your "location" had said eastern Oregon. And the statement you made when you posted the pic made it seem like it was around your home. So I really am rather confused. Am I going nuts? Or is there some explanation?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

The explanation is quite simple, but involves a fair bit of reading to fully comprehend. You can start here.

Nutshell version is that this all started with a large number of Oregon and WNC people participating, as a result of which WNC was annexed by the Oregon people, along with the denizens thereof.
