My wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas...I told her this would do. :p

You want this for Christmas? How exactly does one go about purchasing and wrapping this? :D

If she got me that Red + the 800mm lens, I'd let her slide on the Christmas wrapping. Just put a bow on it! :p

Purchasing it might be a problem though. Our bank account would be in serious trouble.

Dont forget the tripod. There is some serious coin in that tripod as well. :)

This was down in Death Valley last week and the the fancy Red camera with the 800mm lens belonged to a cinematographer who was shooting a piece for the BBC on SouthWest wildlife. His other camera was a Sony A-7S with a Nikon 14-24 lens. He was kind enough to let us play with it for a few minutes.

If acorns were as valuable as gold, I would be a trillionaire. With all the rain we had this year our oak trees are dropping acorns like rain.

We had a huge crop of acorns earlier in the week after some strong winds. The local herd of 6 deer came through the following day and the acorns have disappeared. We had to get a professional arborist in to remove two large broken branches on the big oak next to the house. While they were at it, I had them prune some other trees, so I think we're good for the winter storms now.
