Welcome back. We just stayed above freezing and headed back to the high 50s today. I don't like this cold.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Welcome Back! :-)

We are currently 23F and looking at snow for the next couple of days. We'll see though, I love snow so it almost never seems to happen as much as I'd like...

I had a fairly snarky reply for this but in a moment of clarity I decided to not post it. Sometimes even good comments end up being bad titles. ;-)a

Is this a deal? I've been looking to upgrade my 24" and this one is 27" IPS.

I'd snatch that one up! LG makes some nice screens. Especially for less than $200. I need to get something bigger than my laptop screen soon, too much squinting...

Chet, if you buy me one, I'll check it out and review it for you. Not sure if it'll fit in my roll-top desk, though :(

I have been itching for a 4k monitor. I have a 28" now and though it's a very nice one, after playing with a pc and 4k monitor, it looks so much nicer. Maybe Santa will remember.

Jill, I had a Forester for a long time. Great vehicle, but you're head is in the right place with doing a thorough check. Subarus are not forgiving on lack of maintenance at all.

My short time working at a Subaru dealership allowed me to see where their weaknesses are. This one doesn't have a turbo, so there's no issue there. The valve cover and head gaskets looked clean and dry, without crawling underneath to look. All the fluids were clean, it recently had a tuneup, and front brakes. All the hinges were well lubricated and the rear wiper actually cleans the glass. The rear brakes looked fairly worn, and the A/C clutch has been throwing dust, but it's quiet still.
For a purchase price of $5800, it appears to be a good buy.

Nice. The bokeh on that first image is awesome. I'm really digging the new tamron lenses. They're stepping up their game for sure.

I've got a couple Tamrons. Picked up the 150-600 when it first came out. It's not bad for the price; reasonably sharp up to about 520mm. Trying to pan with it sucks.

The 24-70 f/2.8 is very sharp when stopped down to f/4 or better. VC works well, which is the main reason I got it over the Canon (no IS). But it hunts in dim/low light, which I find very irritating.

Wonder how much this bad boy cost?
