I just want to know how to pronounce Chikungunya. The guy on our local NPR station that delivered the report said it 3 different ways.

I have never liked the way LR wanted to handle and organize files. If I moved a folder of pictures to another spot, I'd have to re-import everything.

All I would use if for was to look at the picture and decide if I was going to edit it. Then I'd just drag the file from the file explorer and drop it into Photoshop. Now that Windows is able to display the RAW file, I can skip LR altogether.

SO i am pretty pissed off right now...

in fact very pissed off.

last night i went to pick up the wee man from daycare, and i was told of an incident, where when all the kids woke up from their nap, they teachers took them outside to the play area... except they forgot about the lad - he was still sleeping.

as in they left him unattended, alone in a classroom. they did send the teacher home, and is not allowed back until they see fit, but when we speak to the director tonight, something is going to hit the fan, that is for sure...

Not an excuse but at least that was positive. :)

right!!

but then we started thinking of the "what ifs"

dependent on how long he was alone for, which we will find out tonight etc., if there was a fire or something going on, then he was not accounted for....

all that stuff just beggars belief...

Dangerous to play the "what if game" for instance, what if he was woken with the others and a car careened out of control in the playground.

Yes it is a dangerous game, but as a parent, can you blame me for it?

Probability of a fire breaking out is probably higher than a car careening into the playground - based on location, where the roads are, and protection of the place - info I know :D.

Everything to me is about probabilities... the engineer in me comes out...

I don't blame you, it was a huge mistake on the teachers part for sure.

I'm glad the little guy is ok, and had no idea of what happened. It is an upsetting event, and the what-ifs can drive you crazy. But, on the other hand, it is really quite minor compared to what can/has happened to other children while in daycare. If overlooking a sleeping child is the worst thing that happens there, you've got a good daycare. Aside from the normal things that happen to kids, like tripping over their own feet, falling on their face, and putting a tooth through their lip.
