I believe at this juncture, it is better to say nothing rather than to say anything at all.

Is a juncture similar to a puncture?

There's room here for a cigar joke, but I know I'm better than that. :-)

I tried using salt tablets but they didn't seem to work for me. A few years ago, I was loading trailers at a large retailer's distribution center and it was a semi-brutal job. My record was an 11 pound weight loss in a 10 hour shift.

I found Gatorade works wonders, at least for me. I use the G2 stuff for my more physical jobs now. No more cramps, fuzzy brain, etc. I no longer throwing cases but I work outside a couple shifts a week in the lovely summer weather we have here in Florida.

AND Petticoat Junction. The train was the Hooterville express. Green Acres was a spin-off of it.

Still, the babes didn't live in Hooterville... oddly enough.

BTW, don't Google Hooterville at work.

Melody, electrolyte imbalance can cause muscle cramps. If you're cramping in the heat, you need salt. This comes from my husband's experiences in the Navy. Salt-tablet dispensers were provided on the ship for people working in hot conditions (engine room and tropical environments). Even though it wasn't hot today, you recently had a strong reaction to heat, you've been physically active, and your internal chemicals may not be back to normal.

Tired of water? Sparkling water may be easier to get down. It tastes cleaner somehow.

I am well experienced with electrolyte imbalance. My Dad's side of the family has issues with low salt levels. I typically drink Gatorade and eat salty food to keep my levels up. This time around I have been having problems with drinking Gatorade, it would just give me stomach cramps as soon as I drank it. I figured it was just the sugar in it that was causing the problem.

When I went to emerge I told them that I have issues with salt, but they seemed more concerned with my potassium level, which was fine.

I hate drinking water. I only like it if it's ice cold, preferably with more ice cubes than water, but it all just melts so fast. I have been able to drink some iced tea, but not much at once.

To be on the safe side you may want to check if you are in early stages of Diabetes.

There's no family history with diabetes, and my sugar levels have always been good.

I can chug the blue mountain berry blast powerade on the hot days. Too much water irritates my stomach.

Gatorade for me. Same with the water, just can't do it.

I have a real problem drinking plain water. For some reason it makes me real nauseous. Lately I have been drinking water spiked with grapefruit juice. It's a good substitute for soda.

This sounds good. I keep looking at those drink flavour things, but I've always found them too sugary.

Today started out pretty rough. I slept a lot better last night, thanks to Tylenol. But I woke up feeling pretty sick and really tired. The morning at work was touch and go for awhile, especially as the temperature was going up. I ate a bunch of veggies and fruit for lunch, and the afternoon's work was easier on the body. I'm feeling better now, but not good by any means. Skipped my baseball game tonight.

Tomorrow is Canada Day, so no work. I'm gonna sleep in (if my kitty will allow that) and take it easy for a few days. I'll also be able to eat when I'm hungry. It's hard at work to nibble through the day, but I can't eat a decent sized lunch right now.

I'm just, ya know...thinking outside the box, but sometimes, people take some time off to recover from serious medical issues.

Now my dollar is that you're one of those "i don't take time off" kind of people, but you can't take care of other things until you take care of yourself.

This ends my "Listen to your elders" monologue. And do, all kidding aside, take care of you!
