This sounds good. I keep looking at those drink flavour things, but I've always found them too sugary.

Same here, either too sweet or just a bottle of chemicals. We buy Simply Grapefruit, no preservatives or anything added.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

WHY?

Because the babes live at the Shady Rest Hotel, on the outskirts of Hooterville.

I'm just, ya know...thinking outside the box, but sometimes, people take some time off to recover from serious medical issues.

Now my dollar is that you're one of those "i don't take time off" kind of people, but you can't take care of other things until you take care of yourself.

This ends my "Listen to your elders" monologue. And do, all kidding aside, take care of you!

I'm not going to take time off work. This job is short term. They called me in February, out of the blue, and asked if I was working. One of their mechanics was going on parental leave while his wife went back to work. At the same time the apprentice was scheduled to go to school. They offered me three months of full time work, which I was not going to turn down. Then the guy decided to take 6 months instead of 3, so I got extended. He's back on August 1st, so I only have a month left. Then I have to try and find another job. :(

You can have mine. But good luck with the future hunt. That's not something I'd relish.

We just had a doozy of a thunderstorm that came out of nowhere. I know this isn't Texas-sized, but it's as big as I remember seeing here. We also go more rain in a 20-minute period than I recall having here before. And the temp went from 105 to 81. I see that the leak I have between my roof and inside garage wall hasn't fixed itself yet. That's not good.

OK, I admit, good reason. I hope you find something soon. Like Moose, I don't relish the thought. My long term goal is to do what I'm doing now until I retire.

Nice! The storms here this week have been falling apart before they get to my town. My lawn is brown. And it's not even July.

I absolutely hate job hunting. All it feels like is begging. "Like me, like me, like me." There's not an endless number of places I can go either, there's only so many shops in the area. I prefer the dealership world because they have training programs, stocked parts departments, and typically not full of junky old vehicles. I want to stay with GM, but there's only two GM dealerships in the county - the one I'm at, and the one I worked at for over 4 years. I'm good with going back to Ford. Chrysler holds no appeal for me, and the dealerships in the area are really not well liked at all. After that, it's imports.

The Snap-On guy is keeping me informed of any openings, and said he will let folks know that I'm looking. I can't easily go dropping resumes while I'm working full time.

I'd be happy to stay right where I am. One service advisor is irritating, but I've dealt with much, much worse. The manager is a good guy, although I wish he would be a little more proactive at fixing issues like that service advisor.

Saw Batman v Superman extended ultimate blah blah version last night.
I can't speak to the theater version but thought this version was good - more meat in the story than I anticipated.
With such harsh reviews of the original, glad I waited.

Congrats! How many more? I enjoyed school when I went full time, after my first 10 years in the Air Force, but before that... taking classes nights and weekends sucked.

Well next weekend's plans are underway. Going to meet up with Maureen and Skip in Niagara Falls for the weekend, hoping Suzy can make it too.

Will do.

I'm definitely looking forward to meeting some folks from here. I've met a few folks so far. Met one guy at a car show, then went urban exploring with him and a few others later that summer. Bought a flash from another guy. Passed on the Travelling Nifty to another. And a former co-worker is on here. Oh, and I met up with Martin for dinner when I was in his area to buy my last truck.
