It was precisely because you said you were a newbie that I thought I would post a modified image with the cast removed just in case you hadn't appreciated the cast.
I also agree however that a colour cast can give an artistic feel, but the trick is to make it obvious (and I've no definitive suggestion here) that this is what was intended rather than just being a white balance artefact.
