I recently took a liking to low key shots. This is my first go round with it, what ya think?

I think #3 is good. Not fond of the close crops of 1 & 2 though.

If steroids are illegal for athletes, should PS be illegal for models?

I like #2.
#1 is a little too bright.
#3 is a little too harsh. On the topic, is there any camera/flash technique to soften the facial features of #3? I had a go with low key myself last night and struggled with that.

appreciate the feedback
the tight crops are result of using my 50mm on that crop sensor and not enough room to backup... need to get a 35
with #3 i increased the structure of the image in a filter i use, to give that effect. wanted to give somewhat of a masculine look, as opposed to the soft glow of the others. it also be result of the lighting source. 1&2 I was using bounce flash off of a wall, #3 was actually done with a cellphone flashlight.

I like #3. The #1 is far too tight and # 2 is slightly soft on the eyes. I think the focus point is too far back and DOF too shallow.
