It has a one year warranty guess that's standard now for Sigma they had 4 year warranty's in the past.

So a grey market lens will still be eligible for the first year of local warranty. ^^^ I don't know about this. Canon 6D/70D

I have called and talked to Sigma rep prior to purchase the Sigma 70-200mm lens and was quote that Sigma will not honor warranty if purchased at the non Sigma authorized dealer. You can argue all day long about this statement but this is what I was told by Sigma employee. Sorry, my info was out of date.

Is it worth $194 more is the question I don't know if it were Canon "L" glass perhaps? We will see how good it is when it get's here on Monday and I mate it with the 5D Mark III I keep hearing noting but good things about this lens.
