Sale lasts for about another week, looks like a solid eBay seller.

Funny I ordered from this just two days ago I will keep you posted on how it works out. $705 VS $899 is a no brainer to me that's a huge saving's. It has a one year warranty guess that's standard now for Sigma they had 4 year warranty's in the past.

That's what I thought too however when you go to the Sigma USA web page, and B&H Web page it shows only a 1 year warranty for this lens must be something new for Sigma if the quality is better like the new "Art series" seems to be you wont need the warranty.

From Sigma USA's website:

"Product Warranty
All brand new Sigma Products are warrantied for defects in manufacturing and workmanship only. Your warranty period begins the day you purchase your Sigma Product and runs for a specific time period depending on the item. (Please refer to the warranty card included with your product or see the warranty registration page for each Sigma Product). When sending your Sigma product in for warranty service, please be sure to include a copy of the original sales receipt as proof of purchase date (the start date of your warranty). Anything deemed beyond normal use will void any and all warranties. As always, our goal is to serve and support our customers.

Gray Market
As of July 1 2012 Sigma no longer has worldwide warranties and any product that is not imported by the Sigma Corporation of America or purchased from an unauthorized Sigma USA Dealer will not be serviced under warranty regardless of the service required. The Sigma Corporation of America Service department will service these products but it will be at the owner's expense."

OP's auction listed is a Hong Kong seller. So not only will Sigma not honor any warranty, but your dealing with an overseas seller and potential customs and duties issues.

Grey market lens has zero Sigma USA warranty. You will be sending it to seller for any warranty work.

There's a one year warranty for all Sigma worldwide. So a grey market lens will still be eligible for the first year of local warranty.

^^^ I don't know about this.
I have called and talked to Sigma rep prior to purchase the Sigma 70-200mm lens and was quote that Sigma will not honor warranty if purchased at the non Sigma authorized dealer.
You can argue all day long about this statement but this is what I was told by Sigma employee.

Sorry, my info was out of date.

As of July 2012 Sigma terminated the international warranty program. I haven't bought Sigma for a few years now :)

For me $899 VS $705 for the same lens is a savings of $194.00 it has a one year warrant thru the seller if I have any issues. Is it worth $194 more is the question I don't know if it were Canon "L" glass perhaps? We will see how good it is when it get's here on Monday and I mate it with the 5D Mark III I keep hearing noting but good things about this lens.

The ebay seller sent this FedEx 3 day international so offering it for $194 less, plus shipping fees, and PP fees, and ebay fees they are still making money just goes to show how crazy this stuff is marked up.

Why don't you like the first 50 shots? They are all sharp. Do you prefer soft looking pictures and slow lens?
