LR 5.2 - tonight developed issues with the Published Collections. I published an image to FB using J Fiedl's publish code. The image went up and all was fine unfortunately I couldn't get out the Published Collection and back to the original folder the image was located in. I can click the folder (I use a year-month-date hierarchy) but the grid doesn't change from the images in the published collection.
A re-start on LR 5.2 gets it back to 'normal' but everything goes haywire again if I go to a published collection.
I am running LR 5.2 on an iMac i7 with 12 gig of memory. The catalog is kept on my internal drive and all images are on an external. Backup is run once a week but TimeMachine runs every night.
Thankfully I had plenty of weekly backups. Reverted to two week old and everything seems to be fine. Re-imported everything lost to the catalog and it all came back. Not a real comfortable feeling though.
Back up your work - frequently!
