Cost To Frame?

I am located in the U.S. and I want to frame up some of my work and in order to reduce costs I want to do it myself. My images are 13 x 19" and I want to use 18 x 24" black anodized aluminum frames. I want to use acid free mats, mounting boards and glare free glass or acrylic.

Is acrylic better than glass? What are the pros and cons of glass vs. acrylic?

So, how much should I expect to pay for materials and what is a good place to source them from?

You can custom build your frames and all other materials any way you want. You also get discounts if you order 4 or 10 of the same frame configuration.

Glass breaks and acrylic doesnt. FD will only sell bigger sizes with acrylic. It doesnt make sense to ship large piece of glass. Check them out and see if they will suit your needs.

Also, acrylic will 'yellow' if it's in direct sunlight; lexan won't.
