Culling is the easiest and quickest part of the whole thing IMO. Doing it on the wedding day seems like a waste of time to me.

How can it be a waste of time when it REDUCES the total amount of time I spend working on any every wedding?

It's very interesting that Joe shoot only in P mode, all day. Anyone here shoot wedding in P mode like Joe? I do not think fulltime M mode Shooter can stand the camera automatically pick speed and aperture for more than half an hour.

I don't think I have ever used P since I bought my first DSLR. In fact if I'm perfectly honest I don't really know what iy does.

I never try it myself. I think in P mode the camera automatically pick Shutter Speed + Aperture and you control the ISO.

A question came up during the interview asking about how to determind which ISO to set for which situation, Joe's answered was base on the sound of the shutter. That is amazing. I wish I have the ability to only worry about ISO on my tool :)

I shoot multiple shots of everything because you never know what you're going to like better once you see it on a computer screen. Plus, when you're shooting a group of people, there's always a 75% chance that someone's face will be contorted in a weird way or they will be blinking, so to have additional shots allows you to PS elements from similar shots and merge them so you don't have to try to create or recreate something that didn't exist in the original photo.

shot a wedding this weekend, did about 1100 shots, culled it down to 350, probably going to end up with around 300 when I'm done.
