This is my new, modern shaving scuttle. These were first used in the late 1800's, early 1900's when running hot water indoors was only for the very well off. The scuttle has two walls with an inner hollow space. The space was filled with boiling water from the tea kettle on the kitchen stove and then brought into the bathroom for the shave. I enjoy my modern version very much as it keeps the lather nice and warm, even if I do more than one pass with lather and razor. I just pour hot water into the opening from the bathroom sink and let the bowl warm up a few minutes.

These were shot using natural light. I may want to reshoot using flash so I can increase the DOF more.

I like shot two for the angle if it wasn't cropped so tight ...light is a hair bright on the front and the dof
both shots need to loose the silver thing in the background

So if God made Man & Woman....whats his excuse for Nikon...

Thanks for the comments. I agree that the light is too bright on the left for the shadows on the right. I think I"ll retry these using flash or at least a reflector on the right.

I"ll probably move the stand in the back out of the frame too.

I like the first one best. And I don't see need for more DOF.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.
