Midnight at the Boar's Head - Fine Chisel @ ZOO Southside (Edinburgh Fringe)

As well as Fringe First award-winning show Dumbstruck, Fine Chisel also decided to entertain a bar crowd once a week with an all-Shakespearean mash-up set in a pub and featuring more of their music ... it's really good fun and makes a right mess with free beer, silly string and party poppers. It also packs people in, for legal reasons I should say that whilst the bar was totally rammed, it was definitely, 100% under it's legal stated capacity ... although I shot most of this from whatever angle I could get around the pillar I became wedged to so as to avoid blocking one of the clear routes to the 'stage'.

Wow - that first one is incredible. I absolutely love it.

Thanks! I really liked those hanging bare bulbs, they were good for popping into photos every now and then, but this one worked most effectively with them in a line - plus Robin has a very expressive face ... in the process of some slightly website updates, including portfolio changes, and that one's a definite addition.

Very interesting set! That first one is a great angle to get those lights and the DOF you have.

Definitely #1 is the bomb. I like some of the color stuff on the Flickr page also...
