HSS and X-Sync

Just a quick question..if I enable HSS, but then use a shutter speed at or below my normal x-sync speed of 1/250 (70D), does the flash behave in the same way it would for a "standard" mode flash, or is it still going to behave somehow differently?


Cameras: 7D2, S100
Lenses: 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM, 18-135 STM, 24-70 f/4L IS USM, 50 f/1.4 USM,70-300L IS USM
Other Stuff: 430 EX II, Luma Labs Loop 3, CamRanger

It only kicks into HSS when you exceed your native x-sync so there is no downside to leaving hss enabled.

That is kind of what I figured, I'll just leave it on...must be a toggle like ISO expansion just to protect less experienced users from getting unexpected results.
