I am shooting a wedding video with the use of canon 7D, 2 T3i and a gopro 3 black. My question is what is your workflow when combining the gopro footage with your dslr footage? I don't plan on use the GPro for important moments. One use will be a gopro on a light stand extended about Bride as she throws her bouquet. Hope to catch all the action and do a slow motion on the toss. This is just one example of how I plan to use my gopro.

What are you using for the editing program? I use FCPx and once I render it, I just slide it into the filmstrip workflow as needed.

I convert the gopro footage to avi. using gopro studio, then import it into elements 10 normally.

Shoot your gopro with a high framerate, then use interpret footage to slow down the video.

Absolutely. I use Sony Vegas Pro and, although it will import the GoPro footage in its original form, it plays havoc with the edit if you do.
