Maybe you can recommend something. I have a benro tripod, whichis light andgood, butright now I am on a trip to Iceland and realize that with a strong wind and with waves it is not that sturdy.

I wantto get something better and something I will not regret getting.
Maybe Gitzo orthe RRS.

Can you suggest something for traveling: carbon, shoul be really good for panoramas, quick lock for the camera.

Thanks.

If I had money to burn on a great tripod and a head, RRS would be my only choice. What is your budget?

It is not like I can afford anything, but I try to purchase things smartly. I will sell Zeiss as I am not using it and will be able to get a very good tripod. So let's say money is ok here, want to get a super solid thing that will be sturdy, flexible and made of carbon as i need to travel with is. I will not be using it with 400-500 mm lenses, 70-200 max. Quick lock for the camerais cool....saw this on this tour with one guy....he was using gitzo

I had the opportunity to use the setup below. It was hands down the best tripod/head I have ever used. Expensive, but worth it if you have the use.

In my experience Gitzo is good and RRS is the best.
