I know the 5d will copmletely blow the 7d out of the water without a doubt, but does the 7d have ANY kind of advantage over the 5d3? other than being smaller and lighter of course

Overall image quality is probably better on the 5d3 but if you crop to the field of view the 7d gives you end up with approx an 8mp image vs an 18mp inage, hence loosing cropping power (handy for sports and wildlife) flickr

I believe teamspeed did this comparisoon somewhere on the thread recently. oh okay, the only telephoto I have now is a 70-200 but I'd consider getting bigger telephotos if I went the 5d3 Canon EOS R5, RF 15-35 f/2.8, RF 70-200 f/2.8, RF 50mm f/1.2

The 7d does have the advantage of 8fps vs 6, which to be fair is probably not a deal breaker for most flickr
