Hi,

Both can be had for around the same price, but bearing in mind I have a 5D3 so most things are covered that side should I go for a 650D (with all the bells and whistles) or a 60D.

The mean reasons for getting one is the actuating screen and the crop factor (the MP-E65 just doesn't get close enough on the 5D3!)

I would go 60d for the ergonomics if nothing else. dual wheels and top lcd as well. I don't see anything about a 650d that would prefer. Then again I went with a 600d instead of waiting for the t4i

I used to own a 60D - a great camera, I just don;t know the 650D too well and was wondering if anyone in this august section had experience of both - to be honest I can imagine theres not much in it for stills, but a touch screen could be handy.

Hi again, I've been doing a bit more research and while the touch screen should be cool, everything else, ergonomics, compatible battery etc points to the 60D, so until the 70D comes down to silly money (ie when the 80D comes out ;)) then I'll go with the 60, thanks again.

...and did - just ordered - thank you :)

Will be a little deja-vu having a 60D again, just goes to show how good a camera it was though and that even the mighty 5D3 has its shortcomings.
