CS6 recognizes M raw, but the only way I can get LR5 to recognize the files is to convert them to DNG. Adobe site says that LR5 should open M raw. Anyone have suggestions? I don't particularly like coverting raw to DNG. If you know of another thread dealing with this problem, would you direct me to it?

BTW, all programs are up-to-date as far as updates are concerned.

EOS M requires the Camera Raw Plugin 7.2 to function. Perhaps check to see if that's up to date. EOS M is definitely supported though, so if that's not it, I would shoot Adobe an email.

EOS M is the last Canon camera listed.

My LR5 has no problems with M Raw files, check that your camera RAW plugin is up to date as Rashkh recommends

No issues here with LR5 and M raw files.

Could this be related to importing them off a card or from the camera directly? Could it be that LR is seeing raw and JPG files as the same image and not importing them?

Just an idea.

Thanks to all. I experimented with unchecking "Don't import suspected duplicates" and that solved the problem. The raw files appeared. When I re-checked it, I saw the raw. One of life's mysteries.

I think there is also a setting that tells LR to treat images shot as both raw and JPG as the same image, so that might explain why this happened.
