Mac Photoshop CS4 question

Weird problem: it won't open photos, raw or jpeg, using the Open command, they appear grayed out, but if I double click the file icon they open OK. However, after the photo's been opened then saved, it will open using the command. Anyone experience this?

Do they open from Bridge?

What camera?

I don't have a Mac, so my help will be very limited:)!

Repair your disk permissions with Disk Utility.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
