The walls seem a bit to bright...makes it feel stark. I don't get a rustic, old fashion feel from it.
I don't feel the creativity in this shot. It looks like a snap shot of someone parlor. Nothing special about it.
Try using the objects that are old....such as the lamp on the desk ..line that up somehow so that it's the subject..but still get the room in the shot. It just seems that somehow you could make these more dramatic. and interesting.
Neat subject though. I like vintage anything...lol

Both contrast and saturation seem too heavy in this one.
I wonder if you could rearrange the table a bit. Move the pitcher, get at table height, move to the left, focus on the inkwell and feather with the desk in the background?

I think the wall is too bright. And I don't really get this photo either (I didn't get study area 1 much). The house seen through the window kills whatever this image has going for it.

1. Agree with the above that it is too bright and thus too sterile. It lacks the feeling of age that should come from this setting.
2. It is too documentary. There are a lot of interesting items here but you haven't made any of them the subject. You need to find a subject and get closer to it. Try different heights and angles, rather than straight on. Maybe try to frame it so there are other interesting items in the background. Possibly look at a group shot of objects on the table or the dresser.
