Where do you get that? 78% is by law unless you have an FHA loan.

I doubt my house has increased in value in 20 months such that we are at over 20%. Home prices are pretty flat in Randolph and mine's a split-level, which doesn't rise as quickly as your colonials.

1/3 of the way down.
"Loans beginning at 90% LTV or less will pay annual MIP for 11 years.
Loans beginning at 90% LTV or more will pay annual MIP for the complete loan term"

I was wrong. It's not Sept but June2013

That's just for FHA loans. They always have their own rules.

Sounds about right. I'll wait for low priced 5D3s, then.

Changed our HVAC filter. 1st time since we moved into the house. The contractor installed the old filter backwards.

Ever heard of the customer loyalty program? you get a refurb from Canon with a full 1 yr warranty, you can get a 10% -20% more off by sending in any old, broken , out of warranty camera... SLR, P+S, even an old film camera

http://shop.usa.canon.com …mark-iii-body-refurbished (external link)

the 5D3 is $2099

I see that lots of people buy cheapo broken cameras ($10 on eBay, for example) for the loyalty benefit. I'm not looking to pay more than $1500 for either a 1D IV or a used 5D3. I don't care about the 1 year warranty, really, if I can get it for that price. I've had great experiences buying used bodies from other members. If I could get the 20%, then I'd consider it... but I don't know what the trade in rate is currently. 10% isn't worth it.

Edit: According to this post, there's no CLP percentage discount anymore: https://photography-on-the.net …showthread.php?p=17638963

I saw a deal for 5DIII + 24-105mm + Canon Pro-10 printer for ~$2600 this week. Was tempted, but doing two rebates + selling lens / printer is a lot of work for $200-$300 potential savings. Really waiting to see what Canon puts into 6DII for AF system, and if it's reasonably good (comparable to 5DIII maybe?) I'll be very interested in that body.

I think you should frame that 1D4!

Nathan, right now there's a guy with two 1D4 in the for sale section that are pretty beat looking. One is $1k

Mods: Yes, I also know it's a joke. If he was serious, Scott would also say that the sale includes the pen he uses to change ISO.

Thanks for the heads up. Thinking about it. There are a few on sale here, but not sure if I really want to dive into it. I'm shipping the 5D2 today. That got sold.

I'm thinking of selling the 35L for a Fuji x100T for my 35mm needs. It'll be much less to carry around and the images seem pretty rad. Then I'll wait before getting a 1DIV... prices will just keep dipping lower and I don't need it right this minute.
