Hi guys im looking to upgrade from my kit lens and iv been doing some reading up, iv come to the conclusion that most if not all of the canon lenses in the same focal length as the sigma are out of my price range so iv been looking in to the sigma 17-70 os hsm 2013 model, i can get it for the rrp price of £369 from a local shop but is it any good, i like the fact that its 17-70 and that its a 2.8 - 4 which is a full stop down from my 18-55 3.5-5.6 but are there any things to look out for.

Thanks in advance
Nick

I had the Nikon version of this lens and loved it. Great sharpness, colors, and contrast. I'd recommend it.

I'll try to find some shots taken with it and send to you later this afternoon. I think I was using the D7000 body at the time.

I love my sigma 17-70 OS. It's a great lens but its weak spot is 70mm wide open.
