Speaking of the Yongnuo 600EX-RT.....where is it? It is October! This thread is now more than a year old and the YN-E3-RT has been available since December but yet no YN 600EX-RT. Also Yongnuo hinted at some expanded wireless flash capabilities with the YN600EX-RT but there has been no follow up on that as well. I thought that when the YN300W (the Yongnuo TTL studio strobe) was anounced that possibly this was the direction Yongnuo may be going with the integration of Speedlites with studio strobes when using the YN600EX-RT but so far only capatibility with the YN622c and YN622c-tx has been mentioned.

Well Yongnuo had better step up their game and Canon better hope they do as well because Phottix, with the Indra 500 TTL and Odin II, look ready to play ball and give both companies a run for their money and they have my attention. It is now a race to see who can deliver first. If Phottix anounces a Mitros + with the expanded capability of the Odin II then they would be hard to beat and if they can deliver that system in a timely manner they may leave both Yongnuo and Canon sucking hind teat.

Let's face it Canon has done all they are going to do and so far Yongnuo has not delivered all they have promised so they have left a void, of a fully integrated wireless TTL Speedlite/Studio strobe system, for someone else to step in and fill and Phottix looks like they may do just that, only time will tell! I am still going to give Yongnuo the opportunity to impress me with what they have to bring to the table but so far what they have offered up (the promise of a YN600EX-RT and announcement of a 300 ws TTL strobe) is not all that exciting. The race is on!

Personally, with the release of the Rove Light, I've sort of moved on. 600ws, internal lion battery and HSS in a package with an introductory price $200 less than I paid for my 600 ex rt's. What's not to like?

From 1 to 6 October in China held a national holiday.
The whole country is celebrating this event :)
Factories stopped. From Monday to begin a slow withdrawal of production to the previous level.

A week off doesn't explain months and months of silence and lack of promised products.

This one week of holidays may delay a release even completely ready-to-manufacture products for a month.

YONGNUO YN-600EX-RT is available for sale!
Hopefully it's not a bug :)

Indicated that the item is not in stock and the price is the same as for the YN-568EX II.
Most likely the price will be changed.

I will believe it when I see them listed on Amazon. As for me I have plenty of 600EX -RTs but what I am waiting for is this:

For strobes cooperation with rt system, We will offer a better solution than most of you expect, :-) Stay tuned.

I switched from the Radio Popper PX and JRX system to the 600EX-RTs using the Phottix Strato II to integrate with PCB strobes and Cyber Commander with Cyber syncs. Both systems have their pluses and minuses but with technology today I would think someone could combine the shoe flashes with TTL/HSS studio strobes without the cumbersome separate receivers and it looks like Phottix is close to doing just that as I have mentioned previously. The comment that Yongnuo was going to offer integration of Studio strobes with the RT system and offer a better solution than I would expect? Well, I am still expecting!

RT receivers for studio flashes is very real prospect.
It is hoped that manufacturers finally solved and will produce it.

I do not mind to get the RT-transceiver for my EINSTEIN's :)

While I am very interested in these cheaper knockoffs of the Canon 600 as supplements to my genuine Canon 600's I wouldn't depend on them as I would the Canon units. I think there will be a solid professional resale market for the real thing even after the reverse engineered copies come to market.

It is not a port but rather a bracket mount for Canons Sb-E2 flash bracket that retails for over $200. On Canon Speedlites it is not even a 1/4 x 20 thread but rather a fine thread which means that it is totally worthless unless you are using the Canon bracket. Why Canon still builds their flashes with this mount and why Yongnuo would copy it Is lost on me. Why they still use a PC sync port rather than a more common 1/8" jack is also befuddling to me as well but they never asked my opinion and I doubt they ever will.
