Additional images made soon after the butterfly emerged.

Ten minutes after the first photo: exercising the proboscis to join its left and right halves, which form separately. At this stage, they were not yet joined all the way to the tip.

Thanks, Steven. I've reared several of this species. Once in a while, they exhibit an active stage of development, such as molting or forming a chrysalis, when I happen to be checking the terrarium.
