I'm generally happy to pay for content, but on CL it's 50 - $100 and as far as I can see there are no previews or reviews to help decide whether it's worth it or not.

Well, they broadcast it for free, then rebroadcast it almost immediately (often a couple of times) for people in other timezones, which means you can watch the whole thing.
