Well, it my older boys turn to get some photos done. Two games this weekend. One state cup game, 2nd round. They lost in OT with about 3 minutes left before PK's would have happened.

Two teams that simply put do not one another too much. Players have left both teams for the other and the parents are not very nice about it either. That's why I like having my camera, it takes me away from all the parent stuff.

My boy in red plays defense and #23 from the other team were really going at one another. Great game played by both. Aggressive and physical but very clean play.

The team on Sunday beat us 3-1. And I have to tell you. When a player on the opposing team curses at a parent, well, that is not a good thing at all. Very disappointing display of sportsmanship that was a surprise.

6. This last one is from a Sigma 150-500mm I borrowed.Slow focus and plenty of reach. Not a real good choice for a sports lens. I wanted to see the reach since my son plays defense/

Love the last one, always like a eyes-up shot. As for #4, is there room on the left uncropped? Your son seems a bit cramped and the photo appears to be highlighting the opponent.

Some nice stuff here and I know what you mean about staying away from parent stuff....amen to that!

#3 and 6 are the standouts to me here. The others (apart from #4 which does look cramped) lack peak action/intensity somewhat. Focus is right on, horizons straight, face, ball, all the essentials are here so kudos on a job nicely done.

#6 is going to get printed to hang on his wall. He loves it and so does Mom.

Now that he is playing defense, sometimes it is difficult to get shots of him because he is on the other side of the field for half the game.
