He is one of the reasons why there are some people who don't trust photographers at one meeting.

I'm yet to meet anyone who needed to meet me twice before booking. In fact I don't know of any wedding photographers who have had to meet a client more than once to be trusted.

Yeah...read about this one a few days ago.
This happens in any industry. Take home improvement contractors for example.
It's a shame...but this sort of thing will ALWAYS happen. There are always going to be greedy people out there.

I've had a couple clients that met with me, met with several other photographers, then wanted to meet with me again to finalize. Definitely not the norm.

My bro hired a photog, who decided not to show up for the wedding, but sent his 23 year old son! The dad went to shoot another wedding.
Well, the son had a macro and a zoom lens. I really wanted to throw the kid outta there, but since I wasnt the one who hired him... and ifcourse my bro would not have a photog then.

And on the video there were red, blue, green lights dancing all on the b&g faces as someone forgot to shut them off.

My guess is those were trust issues though :) I'd have thought if they met lots of other photographers it would just be to clarify what they got (having seen lots of options etc from others) and to sign on the dotted line.

Did your Bro hired a Photographer or a Videographer?
An experience Photographer can easily cover a wedding with a macro and a zoom. I don't see any wrong with that. Bobby Earle photographed the whole wedding with just a 50mm.

Both.
Using a macro at a wedding seemed strange to me, so I got upset, but my bro and bride didnt notice. The photog replaced it and used the zoom entire shoot though.
Who is Bobby Earle?
The point is the man who was hired did not show up.

Why does it seem strange? Macros are great for ring shots, and the 100L makes a great portrait lens.

Gene Ho uses primarily a 15mm fisheye and a 10mm fisheye only for weddings. Rarely he will bust out the 50mm though.

Its at 70 and counting. This isn't about a bad photographer, it's about a guy running a scam. As mentioned earlier, there are scammers in all professions. Good thing that this guy is basically an idiot. Most of these guys run the scam for a few weeks, make their money and leave.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.
I used to hate math but then I realised decimals have a point.

Yes. He's quite the big cheese, employing over 250 photographers across many different cities.
