Okay, so I'm finally ready to purchase my lighting equipment, I have around $500 and have absolutely no idea what I'm doing. I come to this forum for a lot of advice, so I know you guys can help me, I currently have one Yongnuo 560III, I was going to go for the strobe kit, I think thats what its called, where I just get a few speedlights and have them as slaves, but I also do video (my main focus) so I would need something to let the set as well, whats the best combination for video and portrait lighting, or are we talking about two different animals here? Please link any suggestions to amazon.

Also if possible something slightly portable.

Video requires constant light source(s). Speedlites are generally preferred for portraiture.

There are LED constant lights that are probably bright enough for portraiture but I doubt if you'll be able to buy what you need with the budget you listed.

If I did both, I'd get lighting that is optimal for each. Compromise with lighting is going to have greatest impact on your still pictures.
