Check out what we had in our garden this evening. I have been picking up sticks and placing them in the garden for the song birds to perch on. Never expected to see a Coopers Hawk perched on one. I guess I know what has been eating the doves in our backyard lately.
The first photo was taken through glass as I didn't want to scare it away. After snapping a few through the window, I crept outside and got a few more. Awesome!!!! Can you tell I was excited.

Great set of photographs of am amazing predator.

Along that line, I have a great photo of a Barred Owl from our backyard.... hunting at our bird feeder. Sort of a win/lose. I do love that photograph, however. ;)

I really need to get out and get those picked and processed, but they do make a nice background.

I have seen Kestrels come down and snag birds before which is amazing. I would love to see the Cooper's get one and hopefully photograph it. I'm not one to get upset when predators come around.
