It had better be something good, now that Sony is releasing a 36MP Exmor capable of using Canon lenses. And not just a medium-format body, either (with few lenses available, and digital backs being much more versatile in terms of lens choices anyway).

Otherwise, they may as well kiss their studio and landscape photographer audience goodbye.

Given their recent track record, though, it'll be yet another video and/or sports camera...

Very cool, but it's too white to be an L. It's more like a Stormtrooper DSLR. A jedi version might be tan though.

EOS 3D?

How about a APS-C or APS-H sensor and 4K price-tag ?

Would be tempting to many that miss the APS-H factor of the Mark IV.

Think of it as the EOS-1 Mark V if Canon had not merged the crop and full frame sensor lines

MF, er, the sensor being 2 or 3 times bigger than a FF 35mm sensor would mean a bigger body right? Or at least a new shape to avoid confusion... I can see all the "My lens does not fit on my camera?" posts now.

haha You'd think someone who has enough cash to buy a black MF Canon camera would know the difference. But, the lack of knowledge from some photographers I've seen won't surprise me if posts like this does happen.
