There is nothing in the picture that suggests it will be MF. It just looks like any 5- or 1-series camera (no pop-up flash). It seems reasonable to conjecture that if anything is coming out, it should be the 7DII.

Let's hope it's not a replacement for the 5D mkIII. I don't want to see my camera's resale value plummet.

canon gonna pull an nikon D600/610?

going by current and past Canon digital bodies, that's a silhouette of a 1 series body. note the absence of a mode dial on the right of picture.

Perhaps it'll be a development announcement of the mythical high MP body they're supposedly working on.

I don't think I will "go go ga" if this camera is a big ass 1D body.

If Canon's ultra-delayed D800-competitor is a $7.000 elephant sized camera, I will definitely be more interested in Sony's 36MP FF mirrorless, and it's ability to use lenses from Canon, Nikon, Leica, Olympus, e.t.c. :) It seems like a much better choice, especially for a traveling landscaper who hates unnecessary bulk / weight.

So let's say it is a 1D body..
When it comes out, the Nikon D900 will be close by, and thus making Canon's high MP price tag look like a bad joke.

If you didn't think your camera was worth the price you paid for it you shouldn't have bought it. New models of cars come out yearly. All mechanical and electronic devices depreciate quickly.
