So, being at home myself today due to sickness, was just looking at the feeders outside and noticed this little guy not doing much. He was on the railing on my deck, jumped down to some flowers - picked at some seeds then hopped down to the deck and just seem to squat there. I picked up the camera and snuck out onto the deck and managed to get some shots of him and on viewing the closeups not sure of what I am seeing. He did fly away after about 10 minutes of just sitting and didn't appear to have any problems flying so hopefully he's ok.

and a close up.

the full res shot is here if your interested.

Any ideas about him??

Looks to be Salmonella. My siskins go through this every year, although I have no closed feeders in my yard. They sadly usually succumb to this.

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Sad to see them birds like this. I have a shot of a silverbill with big lumps on the beak, didn't even feel like sharing.

Your right.

I just wanted to get an opinion on what was his problem.

Now that I know, I have deleted the pics.
