We are in the Sedona area right now -all of the monsoons are gone so no good cloud action-did hike the West fork early one morning last week - no colors turning yet- but did make it to the mini subway - hiked in about 200 yards and then it got too deep and cold - was not prepared to get totally wet - got a couple of shots - then the hoards of people started to arrive and we took off - literally a bus load of people hiked in -
then last night went to try the milky way at Cathedral rock again - was happy to get my star tracker set up and get some good long shots that I could blend with shorter shots of the rocks - enjoy

Out-freakin-standing shots Marcy!! Nice...:)

Wish I had the time to devote to Sedona area before I slip back to CO tomorrow (in PHX) to resume my fall colors trip.

Nice shots Marcy. I've never tried night sky shots from Sedona. I figured there would be too much light pollution, but you did very well.

4 & 5 have some Topaz adjust to bring out the details -the light was not the best

Nice work, Marcy, especially like the West Fork shots.

Thank you! Well done. I'm trying to learn about processing and be able to "see" it.

I love star trails but there is something fantastic about the results with a tracker. Very nice work indeed. Sedona is on my short list of places to visit.
