Sorry for my careless mistake.
Today, I thought I was all prepare to visit the local Best Buy to test out 70D.
I was amaze how quiet 28-135USM vs the tamron 17-50mmNonVC on video captures.
However, when I got home with my SD card, I realized I forgot to set the images in jpeg. All the photos I taken was in RAW.
Can someone direct me to a latest program that can open the 70D RAW files?

[my current software program does not support the latest camera RAW files]

Thank you so much.

70D;50D; 18-135 STM, macro 100mm, 2.8; 35mm;Tamron 17-50mm, 2.8; canon 28-135mm; 580EX II, MR14EX

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

The 70D, like other Canon cameras, include the software you are asking for. The software is found in the DVD that comes with the camera. Otherwise you can download it from here under "Drivers & Sotware":

I know but I didn't buy the camera, I was there to test it out and trying to bring the images back home and compare with my current kit.
thanks

Just download DPP 1.0.0 and install it, then download the latest version of DPP, and install that.

DPP that Canon provide with every camera. Opens RAW as though it was designed for it (which it was).

FastStone Viewer.

FastStone (and other popular viewers, like IrfanView) do not, by default, display the raw data. All raw files include a jpeg image - processed using the in-camera settings and used by the camera to display the image on the LCD. This embedded jpeg is, nowadays, a full-size image - but they do tend to be fairly heavily compressed.

This embedded jpeg is perfectly fine for things like culling duds in FastStone. But the OP is obviously hoping to evaluate the quality of the images he obtained. And viewing a heavily-compressed jpeg is probably not the best option for doing so.

Personally, I'd download the trial of LightRoom 5, or the full version of DPP, and use that to produce decent jpeg images.

The open source Gnu Image Manipulation Program (GIMP) has a RAW plugin (UFraw).. It will allow you to open, view and edit Canon RAW files. And, it's free...

You can download the latest Windows version here --> http://nightly.darkrefraction.com/gimp/ (external link)

As Canon keeps changing the raw format (the 7D changed at least once), I would be very wary of general Raw converters unless they specifically state they have been optimized for the latest cameras. The CR2 format is actually many different formats.

Good point.. The UFraw plugin is constantly being updated as new camera models come out. I notice that the 70D hasn't been added to the list of supported cameras yet.. But it will be eventually. Here is a list of supported cameras: http://ufraw.sourceforge.net/Cameras.html (external link)
