I found this handy web site about bird migration after attempting to identify a sound I was hearing in the heavy brush and trees in my backyard. It turned out to be part of the Indigo Bunting call. What I was hearing was the tic tic tic it drove me crazy for three days.
The web site http://www.birds.cornell.edu …Birds/studying/migration/ (external link)

Scroll dow to the picture of the birds in the tree then click on the birds for info and sounds

Thanks for posting that link; the subject fascinates me and I'll look forward to reading up on it.

I love migration, hereon the East coast of the UK, any winds from the East can bring migrant birds from the continent sometimes in large numbers causing fall conditions. Another site that i use for bird song and calls is. http://www.xeno-canto.org/ (external link) very useful for the calls which can be tricky.

My only problem is its harder to get a photo in these conditions due to it being wet, misty and windy.

Now Now, no matter where you go there are problems to overcome. In Florida its heat = sweat = mosquito's = can not see a dam thing even if you could stop dancing around to evade the mosquito's. I stopped smoking a couple of years ago..I am thinking of starting again, the smoke keeps the mosquito's at bay :D
