I got the first digital (company paid) digital camera late 1990's, and (my own) Canon G1 early 2000's. At the same time I almost completely ceased printing the photos.
Today I print some of my photos again. This made me study how the photo printing business survived the transition from analog to digital photography. And not so badly. At least in Finland and US the photo printing business is growing strongly today.
