Can someone give me the quick and simple explanation as to why the Color profile on my exif data always says uncalibrated?

Thanks!

It's because it's not calibrated...

When did you last calibrate it?

Well thats the obvious explanation I guess. So lets assume I'm not a professional photog (because I'm not)......can someone explain how to calibrate it properly. What I have read in the past says you need to calibrate with a gretag macbeth color checker chart each and every time you shoot and in each lighting situation throughout the shoot. Since I do not shoot professionally and mostly for my own enjoyment, I really do not have time to do this every time I go out.

I would think it's easier to ignore that EXIF comment, since AFAIK you can't calibrate your camera. I could be wrong... I often am... but better to just calibrate your monitor.

Ok...well that makes sense then....since I have been trying all day to find out how to calibrate the 20D to CS2 and cannot find anything. Since you run 2 20D's I will take your word for it.

So just calibrate the monitor in ACR with a checker chart and thats all I can do then.

Am I better off to keep Adobe RGB or sRGB as a setting on the 20D?

I'm not 100% sure but I think what that means is that there is no color profile embedded in the image. Are these EXIF info from images straight from the camera or are they edited versions?

These are the images that have been converted from raw through Adobe Raw Converter
