Smugmug has a new button at the top "CHECK OUT THE NEW SMUGMUG".

Apparently; its a near rewrite from a presentation perspective -Smugmug blog her (external link)e.

Is there a thread already going for this? If so; where's the link?

The first thing they say is "its a one way street".

The bottom line for me is; if I don't loose features and it works smoothly then I'm fine with it. If not; then I'll give it a year to fill in the gaps. The old Smugmug suits me well; some annoyances but overall fantastic.

So my question is; what do they takith away? Any long-time users take the plunge yet?

If you any Javascript on your old SM, you can't use it in the new SM. I've heard that only approved SM designers will be able to use Javascript in their designs. I was using a different slideshow (using Javascript) on my old SM site, but I'm using their slideshow and I'm happy with it so far.

I will say there is a lot of bugs that people are complaining about, but I have no issues with mine. FWIW, I don't promote my SM via my signature link. Here is my SM site if you're interested: http://mike.imagesinthebackcountry.com (external link)
