The results of these challenges, like so many other things, are of course a matter of personal opinion. That's what "judgement" is, whether on POTN or in the law courts or the marketplace, and there's nothing the matter with that.
If someone is not comfortable about having their photos "judged" then they have the option of not entering them, and if someone disagrees with a particular decision or critique, then they can say so - assuming they live where free speech is permitted. That's how most of us learn to improve!
