I was going through some old photographs recently and rediscovered these. Both shot in March of 1959 on a Brownie if I remember correctly. I was 14 at the time. :D

Too bad Photoshop didn't exist then.

My first composite. If I recall this was made up of three cutouts I did from Disney comics I had on hand and reassembled on the sidewalk.

My first special effect. Needless to say, I needed a lot more practice.

These are great, Gene! Love the first especially but that's only because I LOVED Donald Duck as a child. :)

Thanks. I grew up watching Disneyland, the Mickey Mouse Club and reading Disney comics. Probably like most boys of that time, I had a crush on Annette Funicello. My first trip to Disneyland was in 1956 and my favorite nemisis for Donald were, of course, Chip and Dale. :D

I only had the Disney comics. And being Dutch, have no idea who Anette Funicello is! Donald Duck is still Donald Duck here but most other names have been 'translated', like Chip and Dale are Knabbel & Babbel and the nephews are Kwik, Kwek and Kwak. :D

Ah, memories... :)
